I got complimentary double room with nicely finished touches as an upgrade, nice gesture. Had blinds and a telephone in the room, it where just what I needed. The location was convenient and handy, not too far from Charlestown Square Shopping Centre.

The recently renovated rooms are spacious and come with convenient amenities like a communal laundry, internet, and freezer.

We had the most very comfortable few days there. Everything was great, excellent service, easy location adjacent to all the shopping centres, a major shopping complex, and Westfield Kotara and Charlestown square.

Some of the staff were a little rude.

we had a wonderful stay at Surf Beach Motel. our room was clean and well-designed, with modern amenities. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for shopping and dining. comfortable bed, good water flow in the shower, and easy parking. a great choice for a quiet and comfortable stay near the beach.

The room was exceptionally nice and bright and we had a microwave oven, a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. We had a handy kitchenette too.

I spent 1 night in Newcastle, lovely. the hotel had a central location to the magnificent Charlestown shopping centre. 3. It was really close to the beach, shops, and restaurants.

Great location! It's super close to the beach 🏖️ and all the shopping centers.

Advantages: even though it is close to the road it is quiet; clean and nice staff at the reception; free car park.

Disadvantages: old facilities, furniture, air-conditioning, bathroom, kettle, etc; air-conditioning doesn't working in Warm-mode which is nice to have in winter time; no mixer in the bathroom sink (separate taps with hot and cold water) so you can easily freeze or burn your skin; rooms are small; bad soundproofing so you can hear your neighbour's tv or talk. Verdict: we think that it is overpriced so it doesn't worth $99 which we paid for queen bedroom.

I arrived at the motel after the reception closes. To my delight I found an personalised envelop stuck on the door with a lettre indicating the room number and where they left the room keys. The next morning the reception gave us very helpful directions on how to get to our next destibation. The room was spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed (including DVD player, kitchnette, hairdryers). For the price I was extremely happy with the service and will definitely recommend to my friends.

Overall it was a really comfortable stay for 3 nights. the location was central, really close to the Charlestown shopping area, shops, restaurants, and beaches. - It was also close to the magnificent Charlestown Shopping Centre.

Room was good value for money. Everything worked and the beds were comfortable.

Too much light from uncurtained windows at the back.
